Tribute

Tribute - Lisa Henry I picked this one up because I liked her other book The Island when I was in search of something new to read.
As you can see from the blurb and excerpt it is not a light and fluffy read. It does have a few scenes with woman cooties so purists beware. Although the end is m/m.

This book is different because it is a fantasy piece not contemp. And you have to put all rational ideas out of your mind. Don't think, just enjoy the read. I quite liked it but I can understand if not everyone will. It is harsh, it has a lot of unpleasant things that will make you squirm but I liked the writing style and the way the writer pictured the scenes and worldbuilding.

Cost of Repairs

Cost of Repairs - A.M. Arthur I didn't connect with this story, or the characters. It just wasn't for me.
I don't think I even finished.

Winter Love (Seasonal Love)

Winter Love - T.T. Kove What I loved about it was the feeling of recognition. I have been to Norway, I have been to Helsinki. I have actually been to the club Lost & Found.
And yes, Finnish is weird (apology to all Finnish GR members!).

And Norwegian men are cute, generally speaking of course

Infected: Shift (Infected Series)

Infected: Shift (Infected Series) - Andrea Speed I love the new friends. It makes Roan feel less lonely because despite (or thanks to) his current BF I feel Roan is very lonely.
And I am worried about his medication dependancy.

For one chapter I had this "yesss" feeling but it wasn't to be. Alas maybe in the next book which I am looking forward to.

Deliver Us

Deliver Us - Lynn Kelling I liked the way this book started but I had trouble finishing it. To me it felt liked it dragged towards to end. A few unnecessary scenes that I could have done without. That is a pity because I quite liked the 2 couples in the book and the way the story developed.

As for the complainers about unrealistic BDSM scenes; there is a disclaimer in front of the book telling us that it is not realistic and not according to standards (safe sane etc). Guessed those people missed it. So it is unfair to complain about it and therefore rate this book down.

Redemption

Redemption - Olivia Duncan Craig whenever it gets available in another format as kindle

Absent-Minded Astrophysicist

Absent-Minded Astrophysicist - T.N. Tarrant Bit too sweet for my taste but it was entertaining. And that is what counts in the end.

Home

Home - Donna McIntosh 2,5 stars. It wasn't bad but it did not really got me. It was a bit tame and easy and the utopia space station was so .... perfect. I would have liked to see more gritty bits.

Good Bones

Good Bones - Kim Fielding I quite liked this one. Guy gets bitten and moves out of town. He starts a renovation project on a derelict farmhouse with the help of the hunky neighbour. That is has a major renovation project is a major plus, I love those.
I liked the mc's and the way their relationship developed. All in all a good read that I enjoyed a lot.

Mind Magic

Mind Magic - Poppy Dennison Great read, nice take on the werewolf and mage theme. Slight niggle, I think there are a few things to be solved at the end of the story but it's minor really.
I don't know if there are any sequels planned but I wouldn't mind to see them.

Laurel Heights

Laurel Heights - Lisa Worrall Very enjoyable. Like the way the romance is set up, it has a kind of old fashioned feel about it.
The mystery part made me scratch my head a few times. Maybe I read too much but sometimes I thought, shouldn't you doing this or that now.
Overall I liked it very much, I do wonder about the epilogue.

Tian's Hero (The Akanti)

Tian's Hero - Cherie Noel It took a few pages to get in to this book. The internal dialogue made it hard to understand where we were, who was who etc.
After that it was a wonderfull story. It has a spaceship, different species, laserguns, mpreg and likeable characteres. The menage worked for me aswell.

Something that didn't work for me were the accents, those were too hard to understand for me. They took me out of the story because I had to read them a few times to more or less understand what was being said.
And maybe the story could have been tighter in places, sometimes it took a while before the story move forward again.

Brothers in Arms

Brothers In Arms (Recon Diaries, #1) - Kendall McKenna I quite liked this one. Can't say why exactly but it sort of fit together in the amount of pages the book has, it was low key, low on sex (thank goodness!)and it was nicely rounded up.
No Other Life Than This - Podga Online read. What Chris said; not enough grovelling at end but otherwise a very entertaining story.

Shattered Glass

Shattered Glass - A.C. Katt DNF

Heart in Hand

Heart in Hand - salifiable Engaging story, likeable characters. Lots of hockey stuff, so if you don't like hockey and or sports I would not recommend this one. I did not like the ending much, that was over the top for me.

I got that was slash but still it is weird to see the "real" men on the ice. Recently I got ESPN America back and I had a minor shock when all the familiar names came on my screen.
Made we wonder if they aware of the fact that there is a slash story about them circulating on the internet.
